Guest Post- The Floyd Boys

Today I'm having the lovely Lesley guest post about her blog and Christmas! 

 

 Hi there! I'm Lesley and I blog over at the floyd boys. I'm a 25 year old wife and momma, living in Virginia. I married my teenage sweetheart 5 1/2 years ago and we've got two little boys - Kingston (3) and Weston (1). I use my blog to share our life. Our memories. Pictures. The things on my heart. I love to laugh and have fun but I also like to encourage others and thats what I hope my blog will do.Please stop by. I would love to meet new friends.

Favorite Christmas memory as a child::

My parents are both originally from Michigan. Growing up I can remember a few Christmas's that we spent there at my grandparents house, with all my cousins. My grandparents were moving to NY to be involved in ministry, so this particular Christmas was going to be the last time we all gathered at their house. My grandma came up with the idea that each family perform some type of skit in front of the whole family on Christmas eve. My brother and sister played Mary and Joseph while I sang "breath of heaven". I'm sure my singing has improved a lot since then, but that wasn't point. It's one of the only times I can remember our whole family being together like that, and to this day, it's how I dream of Christmas being. 

A tradition you have now::

We don't have many traditions, but I can tell you what we do every Christmas eve. Our church has a Christmas even service (last year Weston was baby Jesus :)) that we always attend, with my side of the family. After the service we all head over to my parents house for hors d'oeuvres and desserts. At some point before the night is over, we will each open a gift. Once we're home for the night and the kiddos are in bed, Ben and I will usually watch a Christmas movie and stuff all the stockings.
